Our story

145 years at our ancestral Durga temple

Every autumn, when the kash phool bloom and the dhak begins to beat, the Chatterjee family of Ruppur returns to its ancestral Durga temple to welcome Ma Durga home. Started about 145 years ago by Late Shri Krishnalal Chattopadhyay, a landlord of Ruppur, the Puja is now carried forward by the fifth generation of the family, following Vaishnavite rituals. Everyone is welcome for darshan and anjali.

What makes a Bonedi Bari Durga Puja different?
